Sir,

In reply to your Despatch No. 320 of the 26th September last, I have the honour to inform you that though Inspector T. Duncan is not yet 45 years of age he is entitled to pension, as the rule regarding the attainment of that age is a recent one and is not applicable to the case of Mr. Duncan. The pension papers will be duly transmitted as soon as the necessary calculations have been made.
